Vanquis Bank turns to Intelligencia Training for fraud detection training

Vanquis Bank has turned to Intelligencia Training to help raise the analytical skills of some of its key employees involved in preventing fraud.

The bank has used its Apprenticeship Levy to embark upon an employee development programme using Intelligencia’s Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Intelligence Operations.

Bank managers have selected a group of 12 delegates, ten specialising in fraud identification and two in risk management, to benefit from the significant new skills that they will gain from the programme.

Gary Cloke, who is Head of People Development at Vanquis Bank, which is part of the Provident Financial Group, said: “We deal primarily in credit card applications, the majority of them online, and sometimes we receive applications where the information does not match up. “This training programme will help our people locate the information they need to verify what we are being told and identify fraudulent applications.”

Intelligence analysis and cyber security training specialists Intelligencia Training is working with a growing number of banking, insurance, utilities providers, law enforcement, custodial and other public sector organisations to improve their data handling and security procedures
