Sophie Scriven, Counter Fraud Investigator at Solihull Council

Counter Fraud Investigator, Sophie Scriven, from Solihull Council recently completed her L4 Counter Fraud Investigator Apprenticeship achieving a distinction at the final stages of her assessment process. This is an excellent result for any apprentice to achieve but with Sophie being one of the youngest apprentices in the country to have achieved this grade provides even more accolades. The Level 4 Counter Fraud Investigator Apprenticeship programme delivered by Intelligencia Training is now widely utilised by an ever-growing number of Government agencies, public and private sector organisations as a method to formalise and professionalise the way counter fraud investigators operate all achieving parity in skills.

Sophie commented: “Intelligencia Training provided informative, interactive, and well-structured learning, whereby the tutors demonstrated strong and experienced knowledge of fraud, offering insightful perspectives on fraud investigations. The course content incorporated a series of practical applications, where I was able to apply the knowledge that I had learned into ‘real life’ scenarios, this efficiently engaged myself and my peers. Finally, the tutors provided me with quick and useful feedback and answers, providing immediate clarification when needed. Many thanks to the tutors and Intelligencia training for their efforts across the training sessions and throughout the duration of my course!”

Without Intelligencia, Sophie would not have progressed so far and now be a full-time member of our Counter Fraud Team.”

Richard Kaciniel, Director at Intqual-Pro (The End Point Assessment Organisation who independently assess and certificate the apprenticeship programme) commented: “Sophie is one of the most able learners to complete EPA for the Counter Fraud Investigator Standard. She displayed a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the role and functions of a fraud investigator. This is even more impressive considering the relatively short time she has spent in the role. I had no hesitation in awarding her an EPA Distinction.
