Autumn Budget 2025: What the Apprenticeship Levy Changes Mean for Employers
December 8, 2025In September 2023, Intelligencia Training launched its first cohort of Level 5 Youth Justice Practitioner Apprentices, welcoming learners from Leeds, Bradford, Kirklees, and Rotherham. After months of hard work, dedication and practical application, the learners from our first cohort have now successfully completed their apprenticeships – marking a significant milestone for both the learners and the apprenticeship programme.
The achievement was recently celebrated by the learners and Intelligencia Training’s Head of Youth Justice Practitioner Apprenticeships, Niccy Mills, as the group gathered to recognise their success in completing assessments, stepping into new roles and furthering their professional development.
Niccy Mills, who led the cohort, said:
“I couldn’t be prouder of these guys and the work they are doing to support children. It has been a privilege to work with them over the past couple of years, to see their development and the great growth in well-deserved confidence. Excited to see and hear what they get up to next – and look out for their projects on reframing masculinity, strengths-based interventions, exit planning, participation and child-friendly plans which may appear on a YJB resource hub near you soon!”
This first cohort highlights the impact of structured, funded apprenticeships in building capability within the youth justice workforce. Learners have developed practical skills, applied trauma-informed approaches and gained the confidence to make meaningful contributions to improving outcomes for young people in the justice system.
Several cohorts have now enrolled on the apprenticeship since its launch and Intelligencia Training is proud to continue to support youth justice practitioners across the UK, providing structured learning that combines professional development, workplace application, and long-term career growth.
