Intelligencia Training are excited to announce the addition of the UK’s first nationally recognised apprenticeship to take a converged approach to protective security to its growing portfolio of specialist training programmes.
As the UK’s leading provider of higher apprenticeships to the protective services sector, the addition of the Level 4 Protective Security Adviser Apprenticeship Standard marks a significant milestone in Intelligencia Training’s continued commitment to developing the UK’s protective security capabilities throughout both public and private organisations.
This unique apprenticeship has been developed by a cross-sector trailblazer group in collaboration with the UK’s three National Technical Authorities: the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA), the UK National Authority for Counter Eavesdropping (NACE), and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
Designed for those working in roles responsible for identifying and mitigating physical, personnel, technical and cyber security risks, the Level 4 Protective Security Adviser Apprenticeship Standard presents an innovative opportunity to address long-standing gaps in the security sector by providing a clear, structured route into and through the security profession, with a curriculum focused on modern threats, strategic thinking, and multi-domain risk mitigation.
Learners on this apprenticeship will develop essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs) aligned with real-world demands, including:
- Threat and risk assessment methodologies
- Security planning and implementation
- Stakeholder engagement and communication
- Understanding regulatory frameworks and protective security policy
- Intelligence-informed decision making
